Today Hewlett-Packard (HP) unveiled it’s latest premium PC taking the pc experience to the next level with the new HP Spectre, the world’s thinnest laptop. The Spectre’s CNC machined aluminum chassis is as thin as a AAA battery at just 10.4 mm.
HP’s newest laptop, isn’t like anything else in the company’s lineup. Inspired by jewelry and women’s purses the design is featured with high gloss copper accents reflect a hand-polished, jewelry-like finish.
A carbon fiber bottom creates a thin profile that is both durable and lightweight, keeping the total weight of the notebook at just 2.45 pounds. An innovative hidden piston hinge creates the illusion of a hinge-less design. An innovative hybrid battery split into two thinner pieces delivers the same wattage as a single battery for up to 9 and half hours of battery life.
Furthermore, a full HD IPS edge-to-edge display featuring Corning Gorilla delivers a superb viewing experience while sixth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and a PCIe SSD with storage up to 512 GB with up to 8 GB of memory guarantees peak performance. Meanwhile, stereo speakers by Bang & Olufsen with HP Audio Boost technology give customers a depth of sound you’d never expect from such a small package.
The HP Spectre goes up for pre-order on April 25 for $1,170 USD and up. The HP Spectre will then be available in Best Buy stores the following month, on May 22, with configurations starting at $1,250 USD.
